Drop-In Meditation

DROP-IN MEDITATION: 

LAST SESSION FOR 2016 IS ON 26 JULY AT 7 PM

With a particular emphasis on relaxation, these drop-in meditation sessions help to create space for reducing stress and for activating healing. But the real gift of meditation is the ability to get to know your own mind and to make friends with your present moment experience. This brings greater clarity, presence and confidence into your daily life.

At each session, we practise Mindfulness-Based Stillness Meditation with its four main components – preparation, relaxation, mindfulness and stillness. MBSM is the principal method taught by Dr Ian Gawler and used by the instructor, Jane Treleaven, in her own healing journey. Jane brings her own experience, as a student of Dr Gawler and buddhist meditation techniques over the last 11 years, to the sessions.

We also explore particular aspects of MBSM or other meditation techniques. All techniques help to focus the mind and intention to help you to create the life you want by just being. Essentially Being.

Meditation 1These drop-in sessions are suitable for beginners, people who have done introductory courses and anyone who wishes to experience meditation before undertaking a course.

By donation: Please pay what you can afford taking into account the costs of venue hire ($52.50 for each drop-in session including set up and pack up time) and provision of herbal teas and the time of the instructor.
