Essentially Being linked in October – recent links on meditation, cancer, diet and other stuff. And something that has given me a LOT of energy!
You have been told that you have a life-threatening illness. That would make anyone shaky. You might find yourself behaving in ways you regret. You might speak harshly to loved ones. You might laugh inappropriately at situations you once would have considered serious. It’s all okay. You are okay. This is the post I wish I’d found.
We have all seen the reports of studies that show the benefits of meditation for those who undertake 8 week courses. But studies are just numbers. The feedback forms I have were written by real people. People I got to know over the 8 weeks. People who came to me with their struggles and their triumphs. I am so privileged to teach meditation.
A year ago, I was in hospital as my immune system dismantled around me and the doctors said they didn’t know what to do. But as many of you know, I had some excellent news recently about my health. Watch the video to find out what I did to recover …
Do you sit to meditate and get so frustrated by the noise in your head that you simply say to yourself “I can’t meditate. I have too many thoughts!”? Or have you gone to your teacher and said “This isn’t working. I’m wasting my time. I have too many thoughts. I just can’t meditate!”? If you have, then this is good news. Really.
